Status Groups

Statuses are fully customizable fields that identify the current availability of a given resource.

Status Group Type

Statuses are categorized into status group types, which define the type of object (logistics type) the status can apply to.

Asset Self-PropelledPower units (e.g., tractors).
Asset Holds InventoryAssets holding inventory (e.g., trailers).
Asset Self-Propelled Holds InventoryPower units that also hold inventory (e.g., straight truck).
WorkerHuman resource.
PositionLocation.
ActivityProgression of an activity.
Logistics OrderProgression of a specific order.
Asset Not Self-Propelled No InventoryLimited assets (e.g., load straps, tactical bars).
Logistics Order LineProgression of a specific order line.
Handling UnitHandling units (e.g., pallets, containers).

Note

You must set a default status for each status group.

Color may be configured for each status to add visible status recognition on forms.

Columns

FIELDDESCRIPTION
Status IDThe status identification name.
State

The current state of the resource. This allows the program to reserve the associated asset.

There are four default states:

  • Available: The entity is available for assignment.
  • Unavailable: The entity is currently unavailable for other reasons (e.g., maintenance, time off, off duty, terminated).
  • Assigned: The entity is assigned to an activity.
  • In Use: The entity is currently in use by an activity and therefore unavailable.

Note

When an activity is In Use, you are prevented from modifying it, including:

    • pairing/unpairing required resources 
    • pairing/unpairing demand to the activity
    • any upstream warehouse management processes
Default Status

A checkmark indicates the default status—the status entities are set to on creation.

Note

The first status created will automatically be set as the default status. You must manually change your default status, if desired, as more statuses are added.

Complete Status

A checkmark indicates that the status is considered resolved. 

An entity with this status cannot be further acted on.

Note

This only applies to Logistics Order, Logistics Order Line, Handling Unit, and Activity status group types.

Default Complete

A checkmark indicates the status that activities and logistics orders are assigned to when completed by action execution.

Note

This must be configured for Activity, Handling Unit, and Logistics Order status type groups.

The Logistics Order Lines completed status is determined in the Activity Masters configuration.

Cancelled

A checkmark indicates that the status is considered cancelled.

Note

This only applies to Logistics Order Line and Activity status group types.

DescriptionA detailed status description. 
ColorThe color that will be used on forms displaying the status.
Shipped

A checkmark indicates that the status is considered shipped.

  • When all units for a given line reach that status, the line they are on is automatically updated.
  • When all the lines reach that status, the order is considered shipped.

This only applies to Logistics Order, Logistics Order Line, and Handling Unit status group types.

Received

A checkmark indicates that the status is considered received.

  • When all units for a given line reach that status, the line they are on is automatically updated.
  • When all the lines reach that status, the order is considered received.
