Activity Masters

Logistics Execution > Setup > Activities & Actions > Activity Masters

Activity masters are templates that allow you to define which actions can be utilized in processing each type of activity.

You can create constraints for each activity, and then assign the activity master to one or many operations.

Activity Master IDName of the activity master.
DescriptionDescription of what the activity master accomplishes.
Activity Type

Defines the basic function of the activity master:

FIELDDESCRIPTION
Demand Complete StatusDefines the status an activity is set to upon completion.
Demand Cancel StatusDefines the status an activity is set to upon cancellation.
Cancel Undelivered Lines?Turn on this toggle to cancel all undelivered logistics order lines upon activity completion.
Clear Location at End?

Turn on this toggle to clear all demand locations upon activity completion.

Example

Demand is located on a trailer in the system. The activity will clear this location upon activity completion.

This toggle helps clean data after a logistics order is completed but certain legs of the trip (logistics lines) were not completed.

Auto-execute Arrive at Start

Turn on this toggle to have the activity master Start action automatically execute the Arrive action logic.

This provides a check-in function without affecting statuses or activity history.

Auto-execute Arrive on UnloadTurn on this toggle to have the Unload action automatically execute the Arrive action logic if an Arrive action hasn't already been executed.
Auto-execute CheckIn on Unload

Turn on this toggle to have the CheckIn action automatically execute when unloading to a facility that has been assigned to a warehouse.

Auto-execute Transfers

Turn on this toggle to have the Arrive and Depart actions automatically trigger Transfer action logic.

This allows the system to maintain necessary information about the activity and related demand without forcing you to configure and execute Transfer actions.

This does not affect statuses or activity history.

Auto Ship Confirm on PickupTurn on this toggle to automatically trigger ship confirmation upon logistics line pickup.
Perform Cross Dock LoadTurn on this toggle to attempt to cross dock load the demand on Unload.
Anchor PositionTurn on this toggle to anchor related handling units to a position during loading and unloading.

Actions Section

This section displays the actions ascribed to the activity master.

Note

Automatic actions are not displayed.

Any actions assigned to an activity master are available for use during an activity.

At least one Start and one End action are required for each activity master. However, because activity masters are non-linear, associated actions do not need to be in a particular order.

Move the actions up or down to place them in the desired order for forms (i.e., Activity Maintenance).

Constraints Section

This section displays constraint criteria assigned to the activity master.

The Constraint Restriction field controls whether validation fails (Prevent) or a warning is issued (Warn).

These constraints are checked during activity validation.

Operations Section

This section displays operations that use the activity master.

Operations can also be configured on the Operations page,
